
Earlier this year I wrote about creative limitations, and how they can enhance your creativity and your work rather than take away from it.
Today, I want to revisit that same principle with a few examples.
I want to share some examples from famous artists who adopted constraints in their work, and a couple from my own creative work over the last few weeks that has taught me a lot.

Embracing Creative Limitations
“Looking at limitations as a source of creativity changed the course of my life.” These are the words of artist Phil Hansen in his legendary TED Talk. A steady hand was so central to Phil’s art, that when he developed a severe hand tremor, he could no longer draw straight lines, and so abandoned his art entirely.
